EDCT Foundation receives “Honorable Mention” at the 5th Annual Red Tape to Red Carpet Awards

For the last five years, the Inland Empire Economic Partnership (IEEP), the region’s only economic development organization, has recognized the efforts of local organizations in six different award categories for their “Red Tape to Red Carpet” awards event. This year, they recognized the exceptional efforts of the Economic Development and Corporate Training (EDCT) Foundation’s 1 Million Cups San Bernardino in the category of Business Expansion & Retention.

On Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, the IEEP, with the support of JP Morgan CHASE bank, hosted the Red Tape to Red Carpet Awards in Ontario, CA. Ashley E. Gaines, Director of the Economic Development and Corporate Training Foundation, was presented with a parchment certificate of recognition commemorating the exemplary performance of the 1 Million Cups San Bernardino initiative that fosters innovation and collaborative mentorship training among entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire throughout 2017. The 1 Million Cups San Bernardino initiative currently provides entrepreneur mentorship the first Wednesday of every month in San Bernardino with the help of a Unical Aviation Corporation grant and is slated to expand the program to the Rialto and Redlands communities in 2018.

The IEEP supports efforts in job creation, leadership infrastructure, and regional advocacy for Riverside and San Bernardino Counties that facilitate economic opportunities and promote a better quality of life. Th

e IEEP membership is subdivided into several different industry-specific councils that convene on a regular basis to discuss their most pressing issues. This model was created to bring industry partners, competitors, and local government together to work toward a more prosperous future for everyone.
